Solves motion planning problem for a two-link robot arm once using Probabilistic Road Map (PRM) (use the off-line version of PRM that first creates the graph and then searches for a path from start to goal) and again using Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT).
Implemented a solution in MATLAB for edge detection based on wavelet based edge detection and fusion. Haar filter and db2 filter are used to decompose the images and recompose them at 3 levels. the horizontal and vertical details of the image at each level were used, because, human visual system is very sensitive to these orientations.
Comparing Kalman filtering with Particle filtering as ways to localize and track the location of a robot in a known planar environment. The position and orientation of the robot is state. The only observation available to the robot is a single laser beam that measures range between the robot and an obstacle directly in front of it.
Protocol-1:A centralized approach by forming a star structure among the participating nodes. Protocol-2: An efficient version of set intersection operation using coordinated ranges where, ranges that do not fall in the intersection are removed iteratively. This implementation is based on recent PODS paper, the core idea is an optimality proof on the computational complexity of performing an equi-join.
A robust replicated key –value storage system, which emulates Amazon’s Dynamo in its functionality. It provides eventual consistency, it handles a single node failure and efficiently redistributes the keys among the nodes up on recovery of the nodes.
This project aims to build a Wikipedia indexer with the following goals: • Parse fairly involved Wikipedia markup. • Index a decent sized subset of the Wikipedia corpus. • Create multiple indexes on the page data as well as metadata. • Provide an index introspection mechanism that can later be built upon to support queries.
