Privacy preserving peer-to-peer data sharing fork of OneSwarm available at http://csemike.github.com/OneSwarm. I am trying to add PKI support with something known as Secure Torrent. The idea is to create a tracker with public keys of participating peers instead of listing the peers themselves. A new connection to a seed/peer will ask the seeder/peer for permission. The acceptance will then allow the seed/peer to encrypt the content using the public key of the new connection. If a public key is not provided or if it is flagged as invalid/belonging to someone who is harmful, the key will be discarded and sent upstream to a list of discarded keys. I am also starting to think about an upstream server which maintains a list of all public keys (verified/revoked/bad/unidentified), etc. Only the good ones will be able to connect to each other and that too with a payload which only that key can decrypt. Of course the keys will be verified or attached with eg: facebook profiles, etc. Lets see if the idea flies off...
