A runtime library that maintains a specified frame-rate in an immersive application by automatically tuning the computational complexity of the application's algorithms. Uses Adaptive Feedback Control techniques in a manner that allows runtime controller to work well for a broad class of applications, with very little programmer effort or knowledge about application.

Dominant Variance Analysis (DVA) is a new profile analysis technique that extracts out the common/recurrent/dominant patterns of behavior of an application. It is pertinent to applications with complex control-flow behavior that is fairly sensitive to data-sets. DVA summarizes the dynamic call-graph behavior of a large, complex application in just a handful of patterns.
