Laptop Parts, Laptop Technician Guide BY: SADARUDDIN MANSYUR - JUNE 30, 2012POSTED IN: HARDWARE If you are a computer technician, then you may not be familiar with the parts of the laptop. Yes, although the shape and size is a bit different, a laptop and a normal PC still has a lot in common, also in terms of its constituent components. But if you are a 'Novice', still studying or are interested to be a laptop technician, at least you have to know the parts and components of what is contained in a laptop. Here's a brief review of the components contained in a laptop. System Board (Motherboard) System Board is one of the main components in a laptop. All internal components are connected to the system board. This component is the most expensive part of the laptop. Memory (RAM) The more memory you have installed, the better the performance of the laptop. Memory is one component that is not replaceable. Hard Drive Hard drive is the primary storage for all data and information in your laptop. All system files are also stored on the personal file. Processor (CPU) This processor can be regarded as the brains of a laptop. The better CPU you use, the faster the processing of data and the performance of your laptop. Keyboard The keyboard is the primary input device. CD / DVD Optical Drive CD / DVD drive allows you to read / write data from and to a CD or DVD. Cooling Fan Cooling fan or cooling fan is part of the cooling module on a laptop. Fan will help you to lower the temperature of the processor when the laptop is in use. Video Card (Graphic Card) Video Card on most laptops, especially the latest laptops, now integrated into the system board. If the video card is damaged, then you should menggati all motherboards. On some laptops, video card is a different module and can be obliged or replaced separately from the motherboard. Audio Board (Sound Board) On most laptops, the audio board is a part of the motherboard. Therefore, all components of the input / output audio board, such as volume control, microphone jack, and headphone jack is soldered to the motherboard directory. Wireless Network Card Wireless Network Card will help you to connect to the internet without using wires. CMOS battery (RTC Battery) CMOS battery provides power to the CMOS chip when the laptop is turned off or when the laptop is unplugged from the wall socket. LCD Screen The LCD screen is one of the most expensive part of a laptop, at least after the system board. The LCD screen is stuck on the panel display (display panel). If at any time suddenly broke your LCD screen, the screen must be replaced. You can not restore / recover or repair a broken LCD screen. Screen Inverter Board (FL Inverter) Inverter Board is a power supply for the backlight lamp (backlight) on the LCD screen. If the inverter is damaged, the LCD screen will be dark and you certainly will not be able to see anything on the screen. On most laptops, the inverter board is attached to the panel display (display panel) below the LCD screen. Screen Backlight Lamp (CCFL tube) Backlight lamp or backlight is a major source of light on the LCD screen. Backlight lamp attached to the screen. If the backlight lamp is damaged, then you have to replace the entire LCD screen. Because why? Due to replace the lamp only (attached to the screen) is unlikely, it is very difficult and must be done by a technician who is really an expert. And so, rather than risk, better just replace its entire LCD screen. Screen Cables (Cables Video) Video cable will connect the laptop screen to the motherboard. Video cables carry data signals for LDC screen and also bring power to the inverter board. Web Camera Today, most laptops are equipped with a web camera. Web cameras are actually not integrated with the LCD screen. Web cameras are placed on a separate piece and can be replaced separately from the LCD. Screen hinges Screen hinges or hinge screen serves to connect the two main components of the laptop, and the display panel assembly (base assembly). Power Adapter AC / DC Power Adapter AC / DC allows you to convert high-voltage AC power from the mains to the low-voltage DC power available on a laptop. Main Battery The battery is a resource of the most important laptop. The battery will be fully charged when the laptop is connected to a power source and keep your laptop remains on when the laptop charge is removed from the power source.
