Designed a Recycling system consisting of a monitoring system and multiple recycling machines using object oriented programming techniques. Functionality of monitoring system included adding recycling systems, adding and modifying materials accepted ,collecting and displaying statistics. RCM accepts the items to be recycled and returns money or coupons to the recycler. Also implemented a user interface for the same.

Worked with a large data set of users and movies with their corresponding ratings to predict ratings for other users who have rated few of these movies. Used various approaches like user based collaborative filtering using pearson similarity and cosine similarity,I tem based collaborative filtering using adjusted cosine similarity and compared the RMSE for each method. Also built a custom hybrid algorithm to improve ratings.
