The aim is to make a simple and user-friendly environment for those who have the necessity for spatial queries but not necessarily the GIS expertise. Unlock Places is a place search web service implemented by EDINA and its API helps developers to find locations for place names, provides geographic information describing places as points or larger bounding boxes and more detailed shapes. The sources where those data derived from are Ordnance Survey Open Data, GeoNames and Natural Earth Data. A user-friendly and intuitive interface is been built to reveal the functionalities of the service in an easy and flexible way for the user.

Through the implemented interface the user can produce close range orthophotos. The essential input data are a 3D point cloud and a close range photograph of an object as well as the parameters of the camera. The implemented algorithm can also generate 2D projective transformation, in case the object has no texture (2D dimensions)
