nsn(8) is a network status monitoring tool. It does listening changes in network configuration using netlink sockets, and prints informative messages to console or log file. nsn(8) was written to be used as debug tool with network problems. It can also serve as simple example code for using netlink sockets to listen network changes. As of version 0.2 it supports executing command when route/address/interface state changes.
This is a simple ethernet package sender. You can send packets from - epb's custom text file (format described below and in details at man pages. There's also example packet files included) - pcap traces - snoop traces - netmon v1 and v2 traces - pcapNG traces (first limited support added in epb v1.6)
Thongs captures ethernet packets from specified (or all) interfaces. Captured packets are written in pcapNG formatted file which can be later opened by bunch of applications including wireshark. Thongs supports <93>raw<94> include/exclude/highlight filters in same fashion as nibbles. These filters evaluate the packet data exactly as it is displayed on screen. Current version also includes protocol specific filters for certain protocols. Thongs can now also send ethernet frames. Press F3 at runtime to enable sending view.
