The primary focus on this project is mutiple site deployment using a shared codebase and database. The secondary focus is providing an admin UI with options similiar to Drupal using OO/HMVC top to bottom. Additionally, many concepts native to Drupal contrib modules have been pulled in like views, fields and panels that provide a very powerful means of developing a site with little code. If familiar with Drupal and you navigate to mcp_root/Component/* you should see a lot of familiar concepts ;) When you work with a system day and day out things start t rub off and what I've essentially done is taken the good parts and left the bad at least I think such as; avoiding serialization like the plague.

Very simple Drupal DAO manager. Provides abaility to to define dao folder within module and place any number of DAOs within folder. The daos may than be retreived via dao_get('module','dao'). So if a dao named product exists under a store module and it contained a method fetch by id one could use the following call to get data dao_get('store','product')->fetchById($node->nid). Developer controls method declarations and return values defined within DAO classes. The dao module basicially provides the logic to retrieve daos and manage subsequent resquests for a previously fetched dao. Unobtrusivly provides a level of data access separation not supported by the core for custom module development purposes. The logic is just because the core is a dirty mess doesn't mean everything has to be.

Query level mapping of SQL result set to object hierarchy formed by any level of many or one relationships. This allows freedom in terms of the SQL, yet remove repeating results based on the primary key for each level of a relational hierarchy. The algorithm was built to support single field primary keys or any number of fields that may make up a primary key. Use of interfaces throughout make it very easy to create custom compatible objects in place of the default ones such as QueryMapperEntity, QueryMapperCollection and QueryMapperIterator. Note: This is not a ORM but a way of mapping single select query results to a object tree.

PHP ActiveRecord with focus on OO supporting subqueries, grouping and infinite joins. Not quite as powerful as something like Doctrine but no where near the amount of code either. The intial purpose of this was to eliminate the need to write queries ever again. While I will say it eliminates the need to write *many queries some things are not supported, yet like trees and unions. Those would require custom SQL. The current capabilities provide means of doing just about everything besides those things. The project itself was inspired by the PHPActiveRecord with an intention of providing a more powerful set of options but that was 3 years ago. Special note here is that this project is not meant to support virtual relational database modules like those present in Drupal w/ Fields. If you need to support those things this project is not for you. This project is intended to work with actual relational database schemas, not virual ones. Supporting virtual table schemas is a whole other ball game and one best avoided really. The one thing I regret and have learned from this project is comment and comment often. Sadely at the time of writing most of this I didn't think it was that important and it is one thing I wish I could have changed.
