This point-of-sale exercise models a checkout terminal that you might find in a grocery store. The program reads in discount/bulk sale data, and then begins to start 'scanning' items of unique cost/price, applying discounts along the way. I probably should refactor this code to use ranges. It would be more idiomatic and expressive than the way I currently have it implemented. There are a number of RSpec tests written to exercise different aspects of the code.

I received an HP TouchPad as a gift and decided to write an app for the device. It was my first experience programming for webOS and using the Enyo Framework, but I hacked this project together in about 2 days. It hits the 'NextBus' web service to gather Lat/Lon coordinates of all MBTA buses in Greater Boston, and I then render those points over a Bing Map display. It worked pretty well, even with the 1-2 minute delay that was inherent in NextBus' coordinate data.
