I have for a long time struggled to understand why when my classroom or office temperatures read apparent clement temperatures it can still feel unbearably hot. The reason it turns out is that temperature and humidity combined effect how comfortable an environment is for humans. This project is a meter that displays and logs the Humidex index for a room.

The Prusa Mendel is secured at the bottom of the frame with some threaded rod and clamps. This arrangement uses little plastic, but uses little plastic. This project aims to create a much more rigid mount for the Z axis smoothrods that also contributes to the Prusa frame rigidlty.
