Slink is a neat way of hooking up your own server to SL to gain a more powerfull means of scripting by what essentialy ammounts to the ajax method but done in a diffrent medium. the neat thing is that this allows you to code your methods as .net functions using a set of Type wrapers to represent all the LSL types. Its based around a generic handler and a pile of clever reflections code. doing something like say a slave collar database could not be simpler.. mind you data access and calculations is all it does... it cannot by itself trigger anything to happen in secondlife.... still that should simplify things... also keep in mind this is code runnning on your own server... so might not be optimal for say a massivly used item... but if its something with a limited usegroup it should be perfect.
